RIM looking to add to roster

Appears as though RIM is doing a throwback to schoolyard days and choosing names to be a part of their team. A press release out of Singapore reports that the BlackBerry-makers are looking to add 150 telecom partners – now that’s a big draft to be a part of. No names were mentioned. I wonder what it will feel like to be picked last?

“‘We plan to add another 150 partners this (fiscal) year. We’re right on track in doing that,’ Chief Operating Officer Don Morrison said at a news conference in Singapore, adding RIM currently has over 200 partner-carriers.

Many of the targeted 150 carrier partners are in the Caribbean, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, he said.”
