Just received word from OmegaOne Vice-President Ron Radko regarding the release of “Journal Bar for BlackBerry”. This new release offers extensive weather, radar, currency and news source information, cached and updated for easy offline viewing. Sounds a lot like PocketExpress, really. But we’ve got plans on reviewing this little newborn from OmegaOne, and we’ll let you know the verdict.

    I’m currently using Journal Bar. The functionality, real-easy-to-navigate and the news sources are great. I use it all the time, especially when I’m flying. You do an update of all new sources and then turn the wireless off while on the plane. It stores a compressed version (if you turn on the option) of the news article on your BlackBerry.
