BlackBerry marketing efforts

Without telling you all too much about myself, I like to (and can) consider myself a little bit of an advertising aficionado. I like analyzing spots and such and seeing what companies are doing to get their products in your hand. And if you’ve noticed, we’ve covered various marketing efforts before. Now I want to know what you’ve seen from RIM and their carriers – how good are they at turning you into a “CrackBerry Addict” (I really think I hate that term).

That screenshot up there (thanks, Russ) is from the Pearl-exclusive site that T-Mobile just launched (check it out here). It’s not unlike the official BlackBerry Pearl site, giving you details about the device and then, obviously, giving you the chance to purchase. And last night whilst watching some enthralling television (the sarcasm is painted thick here), I saw a spot for Sprint/Nextel’s BlackBerry 7130e thata highlighted it’s GPS capabilities and having someone feel lost as soon as their device is taken away.

So, if you don’t mind, send us things you’ve seen and let us know how RIM is infiltrating your everyday life. We’ll put a piece together and you can all take pride in the fact that you helped. Helping is fun.

My anti typing with your thumbs song/video. This would be a great song for an advertising campaign for voice recognition on cell phones. I would love to work with you.
