I just installed Gmail on my BB 8700c and its just what I've been looking for. I have Gmail pick up my personal email and now from my POP account, I can now keep my business email (through BES) and my personal mail (through Gmail) separate - not sharing the same inbox. Gmail also allows you to set it up so that when you send a message via Gmail, it can appear as if sent from your personal POP account instead of from Gmail. GREAT!

Just a note that was revealed which really burst my bubble about being able to check my gmail on my BB with no delays (I'm a TMO customer) and my Gmail through BB is really getting delayed lately, as much as 12-15 hours, sorta defeating the purpose:

Note: The Gmail application doesn't currently work with T-Mobile USA or BREW-based carriers (e.g. Verizon, Alltel, U.S. Cellular).

[...] It’s been a pretty diverse week. We talked about 3Q earnings, RIM’s stock-related woes, and the excitement over GMail’s new mobile service. News has been picking up, though, around Cingular and the upcoming release of their Pearl, the BlackBerry 8100c. [...]

Seems redundant to have gmail mobile mail but you can send whay you want and eat up your blackberry memory less you have a Pearl then no worry since Lots of storage on Pearl. Nextel needs to get Pearl on their Network besides TMobile

If you have an integrated account with BIS, why do you need to take up 128Kb on your device?

This is the best thing to happen to the Blackberry for Google users since Gtalk. Now if they could only make it "push" based.

Thanks to various sources, we found out about GMail’s launch into the mobile world. Apparently this java-based application will load your GMail quicker than it would on your average browser, and an added bonus: no ads. A simple visit to gmail.com/app...
