Is there anything these RIM folks won’t try to patent? First RF interference reduction for other manufacturers (laughable at best, as if another manufacturer would pay a royalty to counter the interference from the poorly designed BB transceiver), and now moving the speaker is a “new, original and ornamental innovation” (ala http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/doc/general/index.html#ptsc)? What’s next, trying to patent a cellphone with a speaker and microphone?
