Bacon on BlackBerry: photos, applications, and email clients

Comments

He’s not a large gentleman, but Magmic’s BlackBerry guru Jeff Bacon weighs in huge every week with massive amounts of knowledge. This week he handles questions regarding photos on the 8700c, removing applications from your device, and more. Any questions for the Bacon? Email bacon@blackberrycool.com and check in next week to see if he’s come to the rescue.

Q: How do I get my photos onto the 8700c?

A: The main way I have found to save photos for the picture viewer on the BB is by opening the web browser, browsing to a picture and then saving it from there. This is not trivial unless you use a photo sharing website but with the Pearl you can transfer files via the desktop manager. I think the desktop manager requires a device with OS 4.2 on it (currently only the Pearl) to enable the Desktop Manager media transfer functions.
