I recommend Palm to be taken over by RIM .

As NTP and RIM have a definitive settlement for past and future claims, I assume it will put NTP in a tricky position for this case.

For the greater good it is important for Palm to fight and for Palm to win … win big! The continued abuse of patent law not only discredits the patent process in general but ties up valuable resources that could better be allocated to reviewing new incoming patents or to overhauling and streamlining the entire system.

From a corporate standpoint, however, Palm’s best course of action is, unfortunatly, less clear. Fighting NTP in the courts would be an expensive and time consuming endeavour. The progression and final outcome of RIM’s battle with NTP is an extremly discouraging precedent to follow. A quick and quiet settlement would probably be the safest bet for Palm.

i think that palm should just lay down on this one. because when blackberry first lost there case to NTP they only had to pay $26,000 but since they decided to appeal look what happend they had to 620 million so i think that palm should really look at that and just settle with them.
