I always held viewer’s choice-type awards in higher regard than the others as it’s what the actual consumer thinks, not some hoighty-toighty mucky-muck sitting in an office somewhere that wipes his nose with $10 bills. A couple nights ago, the Pearl was lucky enough to take home one of these awards at the Pocket-lint.co.uk Technology Awards where they snatched up the Product of the year 2006 (Reader Award). Nice.
Other winners of the night include the Nintendo DS Lite (best gadget), YouTube (best website), and the Sony Ericsson k800i for best mobile device, not to mention the Creative Zen beating out the iPod. Check out the full report here.
