Sources are like my Mom’s homecooked meals – you have to wait a while for a good one. I think I’m sure where to file this one, but I thought I’d share it anyway. On 972 Telecom’s official site, they’ve got a listing for the (unreleased, obviously) BlackBerry 8800, and what’s that they’re saying? Available April 10, 2007? Right to the day! Unreal. Don’t even come close to banking on this date – I just wanted to play MythBuster for a second. My favourite part? They call it the “unreleased Blackberry Pearl 8800″. Pearl? That’s news to me. Thanks to the forums for the tip.

    Steve,

I would be willing to bet that 972 Telecom put this up solely so that they could get a little “link love” for being the first one to offer a date on the 8800.

If you take a look at their enlarged picture you can clearly see that this was the shot of the 8800 that Engadget Mobile put up in their BoyGeniusReport back in September.

Good detective work, no one breaks anything before Boy Genius.

Well, we knew about that (I thought it was from the image WE leaked, though). Just thought it was interesting that the date was on there and such.

6.3″ long? Try 4.5″ tall, according to Boy Genius’ green presentation slides shown elsewhere on this site (106 mm).
