I sort of get John Hughes-type flashbacks when I talk about accessories. Probably because his best work was done in the 80’s when jangly bracelets and ridiculous earrings were the norm (as they apparently still are). Digressions aside, we recently weighed in on a couple of Proporta cases and were slightly disappointed. Having a long history of device usage and being a former wireless carrier employee, I’ve got a long history with the ‘Berry-body armour. But given recent events, like the absence in the case with the Pearl, we got to thinking – are accessories still important?
And thus, here we are at weekend contest time and we turn the question to you: Are BlackBerry accessories important to you? And in what respect? Do you enjoy seeing accessory innovation? Or is it purely a matter of whether they function as they should and that’s all that matters? The best comment this week will go home with a $20 iTunes gift certificate.
Last week we asked you folks what you thought Palm should do against NTP. Well, we haven’t heard any rumblings about the case this week, but Mark had some solid views on the matter. He’s like Superman – all for the greater good.
“For the greater good it is important for Palm to fight and for Palm to win … win big! The continued abuse of patent law not only discredits the patent process in general but ties up valuable resources that could better be allocated to reviewing new incoming patents or to overhauling and streamlining the entire system.”
Mark, you’re getting some Magmic games for your efforts. Atta-boy. Now, we just received some iTunes certificates in the office, and if you’ve won one in the past, please send us a quick note with the country you currently reside in, and we’ll shoot the iTunes goodness your way.
