Q: How can I get the BlackBerry to accept a Microsoft Exchange meeting request without sending a response?

A: I don’t know of a way to do this. I searched the web a bit for you too and nothing seemed to come up. It appears you can’t however once you accept the meeting on your desktop or BlackBerry, the other calendar will eventually update with the meeting in it and you can just delete the meeting request then.

Q: I have two blackberry backup files that I want to merge on to my handheld. When I go to Backup/Restore, it looks like the only option is to restore one and it will overwrite any other. How can I restore both address book .ipd files onto one blackberry device?

A: There is no way to merge two .ipd files like this. You can restore one then back up into a .csv file and then restore the other and then back that one up into a .csv and then manually merge them (which is a pain).

    For the last question, doing an advanced restore on the backup/restore screen in the desktop manager should allow selected files to be loaded. Try it and see if loads the data w/o overwriting whats on the device. If the address book is what your concentrating on you could also load one backup, than sync w outlook. Than load the 2nd backup and sync w outlook again. That would merge both address books together as well.

    In response to the person who gets two meetings on their calendar when one is created, I have to ask if the company email system is Lotus Notes. Since transitioning from Outlook two years ago, we have this same experience all the time along with an incredible myriad of other problems.
