The BlackBerry Pearl: smartphone of the future?

Supposedly so. It’s really tough to tell where exactly the Pearl sits these days with conflicting reviews and the like, but ComputerWorld should make the decision easier. According to a recent article, the BlackBerry Pearl is the smartphone of the future. They list a few reasons, mainly noting that the Pearl navigation is revolutionary. They’re saying that the Pearl is “the first of a radical new generation of smartphones”. Who knew? Check out the entire article here.

    The article by and large gets it right.

    RIM hit a home run with their first consumer device; it’s not perfect, but it is pretty darn impressive.

    And RIM will only get better with experience in this market.

    I for one cannot wait to see the 88xx series.
