BBCool: Are you an Apple user?
Yes, I use both on a daily basis. Both have their strengths and weaknesses
BBCool: We’ve all heard the horror stories about iPod’s and iBook’s and iWhatever’s crapping out after a certain amount of time. Call it planned obsolescence, call it whatever you want – Apple products break down eventually. I’m pretty sure my parents are still using the same PC they got in ’98. I’m wondering if that’s going to happen with the iPhone – with people either still in or just out of contracts, their phone craps out, then they’ve got to shell out some more dough.
I don’t disagree really…you can’t. I just had two Apple G5 towers die in the last month – but they get the picture. They know how to fix problems and get them right.
BBCool: I guess time will tell…Do you see the iPhone “killing” the BlackBerry?
It depends how that question is asked, “do you see the iPhone killing the BlackBerry in the consumer area, or in business or both”. Look on your site under the iPhone article, i think 11 out of 12 people said they are jumping ship from a ‘Berry to the iPhone. Those are real users, real people. And I couldn’t agree more. RIM just lost 3 years. You hear that Mike (Laziridis, RIM co-CEO)??
You just lost 3 years. You hear that Jim (Balsillie, the other CEO)??
BBCool: Alright. They hear you, you ass.
Someone offered me an 8800 yesterday. Guess what? I turned it down.
BBCool: You could have sent it my way
I’m tired of the same devices, I really am. Same OS, same stuff. You can’t do anything on a BlackBerry. The industry has advanced so much and yet we’re stuck in 2002
