BBCool: So, your overall thoughts on the iPhone – sum it all up in a couple of sentences for me and we’ll move on.
Sure, I think Apple did it, I really do. They changed the whole mobile industry in less than 2 hours. Obviously, let’s wait and see how it works, but any Apple fan will go out and get this, and just get that damn keyboard working right. Then I’m sold.
BBCool: Alright. BlackBerry talk time – this isn’t iPhoneCool.com
But you want to do it – you know you do.
Alright, I’ll get this out right now, I guess. I like the iPhone. I gushed about it to my girlfriend, to my coworkers. I’m not at Apple fanboy status, but not far off. Will I get the iPhone? At this point, I’m not really sure. BlackBerrys have proven themselves reliable and they’re always trying to make it the best possible product. I’m not scared at all of the “bye, bye BlackBerry” comments.
I’m excited because this means a fire’s been lit and RIM’ll be pulling out all the stops to compete stronger in the consumer market and keep a better guard on their hold with the business users. There’ll be no more “2-3 years in the making” type talks – everything will be in the “now” and will be very exciting. ALRIGHT. Moving on…
Last point: Apple didn’t aim at corporate. God help us if they do. Ok, I’m done.
BBCool: Alright. So, how about that amateur leaker last week? Why did he get all up in arms with his 8800 pictures and then you just went ahead with no qualms at all? Are you more ballsy or was he just scared for his pal? What are your thoughts on people who leak wrecklessly? Is there an art to it?
Yes, we think before we act. I make sure that any info I provide is ok’d by whoever is giving it to me.
