MyUtils 3.0 reviewed

When you’ve grown tiresome of the default (read as: bland and boring) clock on your BlackBerry, MyClock picks up the slack. Choose from a digital or analog clock display to show you how late you are for work – and the app even lets you choose what face you’d like on your analog display, how nice. Also on MyClock you’ll find stopwatch and countdown capabilities that will even run in the background while you’re doing other business on your BlackBerry. Perfect for when you want to check your email and run the 100m dash.

The next two app’s involve little interplay between the program and the user – they’re more like databases. The first, IntlCodes, provides a list of all the international calling codes organized by country – yep, they’re all there. Holidays lists all of the upcoming holdays in 2007, organized by either country or religion. Now you can feign religious holidays from work quicker and easier than ever before.

And the last two, I’m not going to lie, were slightly over my head. Not over, persay, but to the side a little, maybe. ForwdCalc and CrossCalc are like that robably because they’re specially designed forex calculator for professionals. So, according to the product description, the application “calculates cross exchange rates. Supports both types of cross transactions. Calculates forward exchange rates for a given number of days.” And it appears to work as it should. Yes, we’ll conclude that it does.

So hopefully folks can breathe a bit easier with the addition of MyUtils to their device. Those “If I only had’s” will slowly fade away to reveal a new sense of confidence, at least in your BlackBerry. MyUtils is available from the BlackBerry Cool Store for $14.99 USD until January 31 ($19.99 after).
