Edit:, 8800 no wifi, 8820 with.

Hey, at least we already have the possibly highest data costs in the world. $30 american for unlimited downloading wirelessly in the states. "25MB €15" on vodafone ireland. $450 canadian on telus, for i think 10mb. Around the same on Rogers.
This stagnates growth for small businesses. The CRTC is on the take, and all these "competitors" we have in canada are in cahoots with each other. No doubt.

Also, a dandy is that in England, you sign up for a moderate price plan for your phone, for a year, and you get the $700 phone free. Here we PAY for the phone, and get 3 years of rogers. What value!

Once again, i long for the day for rogers to dissapear. my canadian wireless providers are a bunch of Losers and thieves.

[...] It’s nice to know RIM’s got their bases covered for their Spring collection. Our pal Boy Genius was able to get his hands on an internal document noting the upcoming accessories for the Cingular’s release of the 8800c. Take note of the battery, a new skin and a black leather pouch (we’re hoping not so fanny-pack). Click after the jump for the full list. Thanks, BG. [...]

Probably, Rogers is already overpriced when it comes to BB packages. I was paying $60/m (1MB/m) just for BB Data but I removed the data package for now.
I'm sure they will want to make more money in some way with wi-fi. I don't know how they will do it, maybe some resident program monitoring it.
I wonder if we can buy an unlocked unbranded 8800 from RIM?
