Official release date? Who knows, but it’s really the first solid date we’ve seen. Sucks it has to be called a rumour (for now, at least). A poster over at the Forums reveals that RIM will be announcing the BlackBerry 8800 at Barcelona’s 3GSM Conference & Expo. We’re looking at a February 12 timeframe, perfect for Valentine’s Day. Should we start with the whole “place your bids” talk now or later?
