Just to note, some of the suggestions made from users have either already been implemented or are known future implementations. Some of these suggestions included built-in GPS support for GSM-based devices, which will be included in the 8800 series device; a built-in camera, which was included in the Pearl and selective future devices; and removeable storage, which was included with the Pearl and future devices.
As mentioned, some of the suggested features and enhancements are meant for convenience, while others simply make so much sense that they should have been implemented already. In the pursuit of having a more enjoyable experience and increasing (or decreasing) workplace and personal productivity with our devices, I think it’s safe to say that we simply want more control and functionality from our beloved BlackBerry devices.
Big companies, which would include Research In Motion, in the never-ending search for lowering time and cost requirements for adequate research and development, could learn a thing or two from large communities such as BlackBerryForums.com and popular websites such as BlackBerryCool.com – they are certainly a cheap alternative for harvesting information directly from the heart of the consumer market.
