[...] Oh, geez. I love it when these press shots flourish out of the blue, always a nice surprise. Thanks to Ho-Fo, Phone Arena, and Gizmodo individually for their info. They’re all pretty much regurgitating what we told you a couple of months ago (CDMA/GSM hybrid, QVGA screen, microSD slot, and 3G EV-DO support, no camera, etc.), but now we’ve got press shots, which can only mean it’s on its way (we’ve been hearing May, right?).
Can't wait. I desperately need to upgrade my BB7250, and want to get rid of the seperate cell phone. This could fit the bill. I'm one of the many people who stick with Verizon despite the slow device release, the horrible bluetooth crippling and the high prices. Why ? Because I like to know when I start a call with a client that there is a 99.9% chance I will finish my call without losing the signal.

Ive tried Cingular and T-Mobile, to save money, and neither switch was worth it for me. If I was just a kid goofing around with my friends, I wouldn't care and price would be my #1 priority.

[...] Here’s to you, Verizon customers, for waiting on your service provider as long as you have, just begging for a new device. Well, if you’re not up for waiting anymore despite news of a new device on the way, we may have found a decent solution from the Consumerist to getting out of your Verizon contract. There’s been talk of getting out of cell contracts as text message fees rise, and it looks as though these folks have found a way to get out of their contract (and get a chance to have a bit of a fit in the process).
chris: I hear ya when you talk about the rates on Verizon vs T-Mo. However, I and many others are more than willing to pay the higher rates for the better coverage. What's the point of paying anything if you can't connect? It's that old adage: you get what you pay for.

As Verizon has over twice the subscribers of T-Mo, and less than half the customer churn rate, it appears that Verizon is doing just fine with its current rates. I for one would rather they concentrate on getting the best phones, and I'll be plenty happy.

Yes it's true that Verizon has the best coverage in the US, but they are also the most expsensive. It's because of this I went with T-Mobile which has the best prices of anyone and edge is plenty fast! To make this really appealing they will have to drop their data rates, otherwise even the best phones in the world won't help them.
