The Pearl makes an appearance in Turkey

That’s in Turkey. Not in a turkey. Even more good news from the desks of RIM’s PR firm, and this ties in to the whole world-dominationg thing. Just briefly, Turkcell, a major wireless carrier based out of – you guessed it – Turkey, has announced that they’ll be bringing the Pearl to their homeland. I wonder if they’re as curious about the 8800’s, though? I guess not.

Turkcell and Research In Motion Limited (RIM) will introduce the BlackBerry Pearl to the Turkish market. This smart phone, smaller than BlackBerry’s previous devices, will be available in TurkcellExtra and KVK Shop stores. The product can handle 10 email accounts and four instant messaging networks with an internal mapping program and voice dialing.
