BlackBerry 8800 on T-Mobile Germany site

tmo8800sm.jpgThanks to Pinstacker JCarter21 for the pointing my browser to this little nugget. The BlackBerry 8800 has shown up on T-Mobile Germany’s official web site. The only difference from all the specs is the obvious addition of the QWERTZ keyboard (I like saying that a lot more than QWERTY, that’s for sure).

But wait – what’s this? Available February 2007?

The BlackBerry 8800 smartphone will be available from T-Mobile from February 2007 and will cost EUR 179.95 with a 24-month contract on the Relax 100 rate.

Well there you go.

    Yeah…Damn Europeans get to have all the fun…

    Too bad TMO UK won’t ship internationally.

    Of course, if you email them asking about the BlackBerry 8800 they send you an email back saying “Yes, we have the Nokia 8800″.

    Oh boy…Is TMO UK out of the loop?!

    I just received the following email from our T-Mobile rep:

    Today I spoke to T-Mobile UK consumer sales; the rep said the Blackberry 8800 was listed on their system as “Coming Soon” although no release date was given. By comparison, she said the Apple iPhone wasn’t listed at all. She actually seemed to know what she was talking about and looking at, so I trust this info, however minute it may be.
    Similarly, earlier this week I spoke with Vodafone sales, who were apparently already signing people up to contracts issuing the BB 8800.
