Almost as soon as we were able to scoop it up, they pull away the string on us. Thanks to one of our favourite tipsters, we’re able to let you know about an email sent out by a Rogers application specialist regarding a delay in the release of the 8800. We know about their planned March 7 release, but this has got us wondering when Canadians can finally get our hands on the newest BlackBerry. (except for those who like to hog test devices…).
Sorry for the 11th hour news, but this just in. We’ve just confirmed that the BlackBerry 8800 will NOT be launching tomorrow morning as previously planned. We expect this to be a short delay and that the sku will be open asap. Please pay close attention to the Hardware Flyer for this product as it will be released before the Sales Bulletin.

I like the black one – it looks slick!….and I just talked to my rogers dealer and he’s got his display model in so I will be able to go check it out to satisfy me until the now delayed 8800 comes out from Rogers.
The delay is caused by shortages in the 8800 device. Hopefully they manufacture more.
I talked to someone at Rogers (from the corporate plans) and they are expecting the BB8800 to arrive at the end of March. Time will tell…
