The problem is that all that hunting for cell towers five miles below sucks the battery life. It's not really practical or reliable. I flew to Tampa for vacation, I kept my phone on and had no signal from shortly after takeoff to until landing. I checked it over and over, mostly because I was trying to send txt messages to my wife gloating that she was sitting in the snow at home while I enjoyed cocktails on my way to florida. . .hmmm, anyone know a good lawyer?
