Jealousy was running wild all weekend as Boy Genius proved his prowess yet again with some in-hand shots of the BlackBerry 8300. I was kind of hoping to wake up and see one on my doorstep, too, but hey, the cable bills I got instead are nice. But yes, BG’s got an 8300 and he doesn’t let us down with some great shots and details on the device. He notes that the BlackBerry is small but manageable and responsive, no wi-fi (at least on this test unit), and no video recording can be found.
In terms of the construction, the front is plastic, but the sides and back have a soft touch rubber finish, and a shiny black plastic battery cover completes the device. Very Nice! I’m not going to get into heavy details, and features just yet but some OS improvements include built in spell check, full screen mode for playing videos, the ability to create your own folders on the home screen, and move any applications in and out of those folders!
