The BlackBerry blog world kind of turned on it’s head when the 8300 turned up last week. Thankfully, we’ve got people like Boy Genius on our side who are kind enough to spell out the new BlackBerry line-up to avoid any confusion.
We’re looking at three different devices, all with their own unique specs. The 8300, 8320, and 83XX, with their respective nicknames of Baby, Momma, and Poppa Bear. Sure, let’s confuse your audience even more, Jim and Mike (actually, let’s give them the “Beniffer” treatment – Balzaridis it is). But yes, three different models of the 8300 – maybe tailored to your specific needs?
BG also makes sure to note that we not confuse any of the aforementioned with the 8820, which is simply the current 8800 model but with wi-fi laid on top. So what models are currently hanging out in the ether?
8800 (No Camera, GPS)
8820 (No Camera but WiFi and GPS)
8300 (Camera, no WiFi, no GPS)
8320 (Camera, WiFi)
83xx (Camera, WiFi, GPS)
9xxx (Don’t get me started)
Thanks, as always, Mr. Genius.
