It started getting too cold sitting outside the Rogers store and waiting. I had to abandon my post to make a post. After we reported that the BlackBerry 8800 was coming from Rogers on March 7, we started hearing news of delays and the like.
Well, over a week later, still no 8800. We’ve heard rumblings about manufacturing mishaps, maybe even concerns over demand, but no official word from the company. We’re on top of this like skilled Jenga players, so we’re hoping to bring you news on this in the next week. Now back to the store.
Just as an aside, you Cingular supporters might be wondering why I’m not jumping down Rogers’ throat like I did with Cingy and their “botched” releases. Well, this is just the first time that we’ve seen a hiccup from Rogers (apart from their outlandish data pricing, that is), and the fact that it’s being excused because of “manufacturing” makes more sense than just not hearing any word about the delay. So there.
