What kind of finish is it on the back of the 8300? It looked a little rubbery at one point…
Soft rubber case with a shiny black plastic battery cover. I’m guessing it will be the final version. Doesn’t seem like they would change it, it kinda works in its own sick and twisted way.
Fair enough. So before we get your thoughts on Palm’s apparent buy-out, any other news you want to share from the BlackBerry side of things?
Not so much. I just think they need a new marketing department asap.
You and I both, pal. Alright, so Motorola and Nokia are both at the head of this rumoured Palm buy-out. First, what do you think about Palm finally relenting and selling, and second, who do you think would benefit most from the purchase and what would they do with it?
Thank god, seriously. If I have to see the damn design for a Treo again, I’m not sure what I’d do. I am dying here. Treo 600/650/700/750/680 – ARE ALL THE SAME THING DAMN IT.
You’ve got to me admit – it’s better looking than any of the early BB’s, up to the 8700, even.
Never, because that was the look of the BlackBerry. It was corporate, had a good feel. I mean, dude, people were running over 7520s with a car. They didn’t have t be concerned with that back then, they were in their own lane, doing what they did best. Can’t knock them for it.
That’s true. Ok, so now – Nokia and Motorola? Who should pick up Palm and what’ll happen when they do? What do you expect to see?
Who knows? I personally cant stand the Palm OS. That is something else that really hasn’t evolved with the device, but hey, at least you can download full mp3s.
Hahaha. True. You know, we always ask you about hardware, but what about software? What are your favourite app’s on your BlackBerry, and have you seen any coming down the pipeline that you’re excited about?
I love WebMessenger, love InfoSpace. That’s about it. I don’t really get too crazy about apps anymore. Still waiting on RIMs AIM client. Way to go, guys! Another group in the consumer market you missed. So many people would ditch SideKicks, but nope…
