Literally, my friends. Literally. Thanks to our new pal Chris Thomas and his Pour Out blog for this tidbit. On a flight back to his homebase, Chris was probably checking his ‘Berry for the 254th out of 357 times on the plane when he noticed that his device was getting a solid reception signal - at 37,000 feet! Chris says that sure, there’s no way you can tell from the shot that he’s in the air, but we agree with his retort - who would make this up? Thanks, Mr. T.
Same thing works for mobile phones, but you’re supposed to have the radio off on your Blackberry at all times when you’re in flight.
A lot of execs will still carry the old RIM 9xx devices that work on Mobitex because they get reception on their private jets.
Has something to do with the Mobitex working on a different spectrum.
what theme is that in the picture. looks hot!
can i get a screenshot or two of that new theme. I don’t have the 8700 and can’t see it on my 8100.
