Don’t worry, I’m not asking you to pour your heart out. But hey, if you need to, I’m hear to listen (and provide a great resource for BlackBerry users at the same time – talk about multi-tasking). I’m talking about Wattpad and their recent launch of their story-sharing service for the BlackBerry.
We’re not talking about shooting-the-breeze-type tales, no, no. We’re talking Moby Dick, The New Testament of the Holy Bible, and loads more of quality titles. Looks to be free, at least for now. What a great resource. Sort of like an open-source library, by the looks of it.
“In January 2007 we introduced the service for mobile users worldwide to discover, read, and share stories on their mobile phones” said Ivan Yuen, Founder of Wattpad. “Since Wattpad’s beta launch we have attracted over 100,000 users who have contributed tens of thousands of stories. We would like to thank all those who gave us valuable feedback during this beta period. With our new release, Wattpad’s story sharing community is ready for the next phase of growth.”
With mobile phone being the electronic device most people carry all the time, these stories are instantly accessible by anyone anytime anywhere – whether you are lining up in the bank, commuting in the underground, waiting for the dentist or reading at bedside.
To download Wattpad’s mobile application, go to get.wattpad.com on your mobile phone’s browser and follow the link to download. Wattpad works with most mobile phones from major manufacturers such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Sharp, Sanyo, Panasonic and BlackBerry.
