Cellular-News is reporting that Java giant Sun Microsystems has purchased struggling Mobile OS developer SavaJe Technologies for an undisclosed amount. SavaJe (pronounced savage) is the developer of the SavaJe OS, a Java OS for mobile phones; the company had been in financial trouble for months, and this buy-out will help see their product to fruition.
No deets on the terms, but additional information regarding the sale will be unveiled at the always fun JavaOne conference next month.
