The Little Pseudo-GPS That Couldn’t

Comments

Navizon just recently came out with some software for BlackBerry that’s trying to emulate the GPS functionality being made popular by the new 8300. Navizon uses cell towers to triangulate your position on a map, which doesn’t work so hot if you’re on a road trip going through sparsely-techified countryside – exactly the case when one might want a roadmap. Just take a look at some of the comments over at Gizmodo, and you’ll see the glowing reviews this product’s been getting. Kudos for trying, Navizon, keep reaching for the rainbow, but with competitors like Garmin on the hunt, you’ve got a ways to go.

I’m using Telenav 4.7 on my 8800 from T-Mobile and I think it works well.
