It&#8217;s no big surprise - RIM&#8217;s been talking about it for awhile now. The only bit that&#8217;s especially new is that we can expected a converged Wi-Fi BlackBerry by the &#8220;back end of this year&#8221;. Jim goes over some of his reasons for not hopping on the Wi-Fi bandwagon earlier, primarily because he considered it overhyped. But since any unsubstantiated hype has had a chance to die down, and still nobody can shut up about it, the timing to get Wi-Fi out there is just about right.
