Engadget’s claiming that the BlackBerry Curve is to be hitting the streets on AT&T June 13th., directly butting heads with the Boy Genius who’s saying it’ll be out before the end of the month. You’ll have to forgive us if we’re a bit skeptical of Engadget’s tips lately, especially in light of the Genius’ ongoing reliability, but it sure would be interesting if they turned out to be right and BGR wrong. Where are you guys putting your bets – Engadget or Boy Genius?

BG is right, I talked to my cingular guy and he confirmed on the 25th
Given that the launch party is set for June 8th and the time frame the used to deploy the 8800 (meaning launch party 1 week prior to the device going on sale) I would agree with Engadget. I bet the earlier date was originally the plan but that is has been pushed back for one reason or another. I just cannot see RIM launching a device this anticipated and that they want to be the premier of their lineup without having a launch party first.
BG is the dude, but have to bet against him on this. If it were any other provider, I would believe his information is correct, but he is dealing with the new ATT a.k.a the old ball dropper with the orange symbol. I’m surprised they were able to coordinate the change over to just being called ATT, letalone sticking to a planned release date.
They are more unreliable than my drunk uncle’s promises to remember my birthday.. I have faith in BG, just not in ATT.
Which ever one is for tmobile.
Am I the only one to remember the Cingular Pearl launch?
BG is very good, but plans change, and what he hears one day can change overnight.
It would be great if it released on Friday, but how much does it really matter?
It probably wouln’t hurt for all of us to rearrange priorities a bit
I really do want to trust BG on this one! But like everyone says things change, and yes AT&T is the absolute worst at launching devices. Look at the Nokia N75 launch two weeks ago, on the website, off the website, etc. Whoever is pullin the triger over there when it comes to launching devices needs to be fired! it’s all speculation right now (nobody knows) But I hope BG turns out to be right, I want this thing, and Friday would be perfect!
My money is on BG. He has more connections and information on Berrys than Engadget ever will. BG was given one to test almost 2 months ago. Did Engadget get one? I think he knows his shizzle and engadget is just publishing whatever they hear without checking the facts as usual.
Where on the AT&T website R U looking? I can’t find anything newer than the 8800.
