The folks at Palm were not pleased with my comments regarding the Foleo and made their displeasure known to my superiors at Gartner. My 7+ years employment at Gartner was terminated a week after this article was published. So much for allowing analysts to state their professional opinion.

It’s interesting, because it seems that Palm’s kind of waving the white flag on the smartphone market, in the hopes that they can make some ground in the converged/PDA/mobile computing space. Which is a weird crazy space that might not exist. In fact, I just made it up.
