[...] Okay, seriously, what what the hell? I swing by the Rogers dealer on the way home tonight, to see what’s going on with the Curve, and you know what? It’s been out since Tuesday. Have you guys ever heard of a press release? How about just spreading some word of mouth, or putting up a messy cardboard sign in front of your store saying “CURVE ON TUESDAY” or something. Anything. Seriously. God. I realize you guys can coast on extortionate data rates, and so aren’t in a hurry to sell any actual devices, but c’mon. It’s some people’s jobs to cover this stuff and you’re making it very difficult to figure out what exactly is going on. I might get the odd leak suggesting a thing or two, but that really doesn’t replace some gold old-fashioned corporate announcements, y’know? God. [...]

[...] A little birdie by the name of Erratik has slipped me some info on the BlackBerry 8300’s pricing on Rogers, and it’s pretty brutal. We’re going to be looking at $349 with data and voice, $399 with 3 year voice activation only, or $499 for a 3-year contract with only data activated. You might be used to thinking, “hey, it’s Canadian funny money, it’s actually way cheaper than that”, but that’s not the case lately. AT&T’s carrying theirs for $199 at the cheapest, and here we are up north a solid hundred-fifty bucks higher and we’re locked in for an extra year? Screw that noise. Really, I wouldn’t mind if this tipster was wrong. The Curve should be popping up over here in the next week or two, so we’ll keep y’all posted on if these prices are for real.
[...] Looks like we’re getting back from the weekend with some fresh eye candy. While the BlackBerry 8300 might not be in Canada for another two weeks, at least we’ll have some documentation and AT&T unboxing pics to peruse in the meantime. You best believe that when Rogers busts out the Curve, BlackBerry Cool will be on the scene to report on the carnage and mayhem. [...]

[...] Dates range from this week (today), to June 13, or to play it safe, somewhere in between. As many sites are speculating, both carriers and RIM are most likely going to try and avoid launching both the 8830 and the iPhone on the same date (June 15), which makes an earlier launch ever more likely.
