Any Moto Q users in the house? Amp’d Mobile has filed for bankruptcy protection, so there’s a possibility of some price dives in order to desperately attract customers. Of course, they could very well be cutting the fat at the same time, meaning less coverage. End result? Cheap smartphones if you’re in the right area. Maybe it’s not such a terrible time for a product like that to be available, either. With BlackBerry holding down the middle price range, and the iPhone the high end, having something in the sub-$200 neck of the woods could fill a market gap. Whether or not Amp’d will be willing to go that low, or keep trying to duke it out with the big boys remains to be seen.
