For the minute we start measuring our afterhours e-mailing, our employers will also start monitoring our personal e-mails during the day a little closer and charge us for all of the 'breaks' and personal business we do with our blackberries. While it is nice to get an extra $40 or 50 bucks a day from your after-hours e-mails, it will hurt even more to lose $10 in pay for every grocery list e-mail from your spouse. While this might seem like a good idea on the surface, it can lead to bigger problems.
