Weekly Contest: Kid in a Candy Store

Candy StoreWe’ve got the BlackBerry 8310 landing abroad, and rumblings of the BlackBerry 8820 coming, and plenty of hype surrounding the Pearl 2 and others. By Christmas, there are going to be so many new devices that customers will need a minute just to uncross their eyes. As BlackBerry enthusiasts, we’re all feeling like a kid in a candy store, but sooner or later the moment of truth will arrive and we’ll have to pick which new device is truly the cream of the crop.

So, BBCoolers, for this Weekly Contest we ask: of all the shiny new toys coming out over the next couple of months, which one would you buy? What was the clincher, the final straw that made you say “It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine“? Maybe you’re fine with what you have now… what features would it take to get you to pick a new BlackBerry? Sell us on your BlackBerry of choice, and you’ll walk away with three ringtones of choice from Bplay.

LAST WEEK’S WINNER was a tough call, but we’re going to give it to Collin, with honorable mentions to Edward and Eric. Collin will be getting a copy of Chuzzle for his BlackBerry. This has been one of our busier contests as of late, and it’s awesome to see folks chipping in their two cents. Thanks to everyone who participated, and we welcome you to have another stab at this week’s contest!

none, i will not buy any of these. I want a fully loaded device, not something that has one of these and one of those.
If they cannot match the competition in tears of features then I will look elsewhere.

As much as I love my 8800, there are times I yearn for a camera on my BB to capture silly life moments. And who wouldn’t say no to Wifi for faster service?! So if Santa doesn’t mind, could he drop off the 8310 at my door this Christmas?

I have a BlackBerry Pearl now and love it, but have a few small gripes. The new Pearl 2 addresses everything I would change about the Pearl and more. With a better camera, better media player, WiFi, externally-accessible MicroSD slot, full 3.5mm headset jack, better battery door latch … they’ve hit every note. Plus, if it’s released in September, it’s just in time for my birthday.

And now for the Pearl 3, with HTML email support! (I hope!)

I currently own a Pearl and thought about getting the Curve when it launched because it has support for XM radio and a 3.5mm headset jack and definitely a better battery life than my pearl =( I decided not to buy the Curve since it wasn’t THAT much of an improvement and I like my SureType keyboard and the size of the pearl. So with the Pearl 2 coming out with a 3.5mm headset jack, an EXTERNAL memory card slot (was that so much to ask for??) WiFi, better media player, the new BB browser, and running the new OS, what more could I ask for…

    …except of course a 3G Pearl ..c’mon RIM..don’t keep us waiting!!
