I've got an 8300, and I got it just after they announced the 8310 and 8320, and quite frankly I couldn't care less. It's still perfectly current, works with all the newest software and lots of people comment on it. I *like* how this is going. Remember the processor wars back in the nineties where chips were doubling in speed every couple of months? Same thing, it's just the result of a highly competitive market, and RIM needs to do this, because if they don't Nokia, Apple and Moto are going to hammer them.
