Now that the BlackBerry 8130 is available toting OS 4.3, the accompanying Desktop Manager is up for grabs. Vodafone is hosting the download (which is interesting since they don’t even have the 8130 yet), but the forums are reporting some slow transfer speeds, likely due to the monster truck of traffic rolling over the servers. UPDATE: You can grab the new Desktop Manager right from RIM’s site now. New features include…
* Roxio(R) Media Manager for BlackBerry(R) smartphones: This tool now includes
-automatic launch of the Mobile Media Synchronization Wizard when a new device is connected
-a Folders tab that you can use to view all the media files on your computer
-improved support for integrating iTunes(R) playlists and Windows Media(R) playlists
-support for playing voice notes and copying voice notes from your device
-a My RingTones folder that you can use to store ring tones
-support for .midi files
-a ring tone editor that you can use to create a ring tone from a song on your computer
-language support for Russian, European Portuguese, Czech, and Hungarian* Synchronization: You can now synchronize calendar entries, contacts, and tasks between your device and Windows Vista(TM).
* User interface: The main BlackBerry(R) Desktop Manager screen has been updated with a more user-friendly design.
* Language support: The BlackBerry Desktop Manager user interface and online help are now available in European Portuguese.
