Verdict
The real trick is making sure you get all the information you need onto your itinerary from a computer before heading out. The BlackBerry client is a great way to double-check information that is relatively set and stable, but less helpful if things are prone to changing. The second you need to change plans, your BlackBerry really doesn’t help that much, but that’s really just the way WorldMate’s set their system up. As for pricing, the two-tier system always works really well, both for giving users the chance to test out the features, as well has offering a little bit extra to paying customers. $99.95 per year is a bit hefty for casual users, but for business travellers, this app is a must. WorldMate even supports company-wide rollouts, if you’ve got a highly mobile workforce to take care of. If you’ve got a lot of balls to juggle while travelling, like get on flights, rent cars, book into hotels, make restaurant reservations and the like, WorldMate Live is incredibly helpful - just be ready to lose that helpfulness when plans change, as they invariably do. Frankly, I would be a bit of a prick to give WorldMate Live anything less than 4 Airborne Berrys out of 5.

Nice idea - cannot get it to work - I may be doing something wrong - but am completely at a loss as to how to get help - after at least 10 e-mails, not response. I would like to upgrade but cannot get the free version to work and they won’t respond. I take that as a sign.
