GolfTraxx has recently announced BlackBerry support, and is celebrating by offering the software as a free desktop download. Streak of generosity, or roping in unwitting golfers for beta testing? You decide! The software uses GPS tracking on the BlackBerry 8800 for later review and online posting of your favourite courses on Google Earth. Check it out, hit the greens, get course information, track scores, and let us know how she fares.

Sounds like great idea
Does golftraxx have download for the 8820 or just the 8800?
Hi,
We support the 88xx, the Curve and the Pearl within the RIM space. We have had WM/Pocket PC versions out for a few years. At present we have over 2,000 courses world-wide and a 100% user-supported community.
i uploaded a map about a month ago – and asked for a reply when it was done, and never heard anything – and still have no map info.
does the golftraxx work on the new blackberry storm? does it cost anything for installation or monthly?
Congratulations on your website.
We need more website like yours to promote this beautifull sport because in our country, Canada, province of Quebec, season is very short and when arriving in september, all we hear is hockey.

Robert
Ps: Don`t be too hard on my comments as my native tongue is french.

Is there a program like “sky caddie” available to blackberry users. I recently bought a blackberry curve and have internet with it. I play golf and have seen hand held devices such as the one mentioned above. In the “sky caddie” there are golf courses all around the country that can be accessed via satellite and when you are on the golf course playing the program will tell you how far you are from the flag or the hole on the green. With “sky caddie” I believe there is a fee of $30. per year for all the courses in the U.S. and a higher fee if you want the whole world. Thanks
The link to the desktop download isn’t working. I get a .zip file that is damaged per my PKzip application. ???
Does it now work on the Blackberry Storm ?
