Raketu is busting out some cheap international calling rates through a browser-based application for BlackBerry. To see just how cheap we’re talking, check out their rates page and see what you can get for your area - I know I was pretty happy with the results. Outside of that, Raketu also offers this cool social networking/TV thing called Raketu TV. As for their new voice over IP calling service, head on over to blackberry.raketu.com on your mobile browser to sign up.

I’ve been trying out Raketu .. They have a very very rudimentary web page .. and I have a need to call International often. Gone are the days when people were expected to pay anything more than $0.20/min for a call to ANY country. I like the rates, at Raketu, but the web app (pronounced - webpage) is very clunky. I like Cellity.com A nice little app sits on the BlackBerry & just sends the call-trigger info securely to their website. The usability is very nice!
My point: Raketu, would love to use you, only coz you got the time of day on bbcool.com; but please put out a j2me app.
regards,
so I’ve used Raketu for some time now, and I’ve been very disappointed. They have many time not connected the call to the far end, and I hear ring back 5-8 times, and they still go ahead & charge me for that call. So its been a bit of an Admin nightmare. I’ve asked for a refund & they’ve charged me processing fees when requesting a refund. I strongly recommend looking at alternate services.
