Remote Stereo GatewayWe’re getting word from the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona that we could be seeing the Remote Stereo Gateway before the end of February. If you missed the news frenzy about this, the Gateway hooks up to a stereo system and then allows you to wirelessly stream music from your BlackBerry to the stereo. There’s nothing official from RIM yet or any pricing information, so this is just a rumor at the moment. Also keep in mind that it’s a leap year, so RIM has a whole extra day before February ends.

    Hmm. For us old Pearl 8100 users this might be good news. We need OS 4.5 and the stereo bluetooth profile. Could this mean end of month release for 4.5 also? What sense to release a product that doesn’t work with alot of handsets …
