Sprint BlackBerry 8330 gets a release date

Sprint A release schedule from electronics wholesaler Brightpoint has been leaked by Pinstack’s The Outsider revealing an April 16 release date for the CDMA Curve, with other channels getting it after April 20th. All the usual doodads, like 2.0 megapixel camera and GPS will be in there (sorry, no Wi-Fi), will be in there, and the new BlackBerry will be sporting a titanium paint job, with a red one in the works. Pricing is landing around $599.99 SRP, and we’ve got an idea of potential pricing with plans.

I just spoke to a Sprint representative at a store in New York who told me that the release date has been pushed back to June.

I am confirming as well. THe 8330 has been delayed till June. Another pathetic stumble for Sprint. First WiMax, then the Treo 800 and now this. PATHETIC!

I just spoke with a Manager at Sprint’s customer service department who says he doesn’t know “when” it will be released!!!!! I hope I’m not stuck with this stupid Pearl!!!!

I hope Sprint hurry’s hp with the curve. I would hate to switch to a lower class company like Verizon or AT&T. They are so far behind Sprint with the technology is unreal!

I just got off the phone with a very helpful sprint rep, she dug up the launch date, it’s May 9th! Hooray, it feels like Christmas is coming.
