Next up: Bayalink, creators of the Bayalink Liberty. The neat little gadget is a USB dongle that plugs into your PC or laptop and connects to your BlackBerry. Once it’s all set up, you can then view things like email, calendars, contacts, or pretty much anything else from the BlackBerry on your PC’s screen. You can also create new items or send emails using a full size keyboard, but it’s all routed through the phone and all still right at your fingertips later on. Why, it’s almost like turning your laptop into a smartphone companion.

bought one. can’t get it to work to save my life. directions are horrible too. annoying. no help from vendor either
I received a 30-day trial at WES. The instructions are horrible but I did finally get it to work. It actually works quite well, turning my laptop into my inbox for all my blackberry email accounts (BES and BIS). It allows me to use my laptop keyboard, view all emails including attachments right on my laptop, instead of on the blackberry screen. I’m not sure about paying the $99 annual fee because I don’t travel alot, but frequent travellers may find the price is justifiable.
If your using Vista the autostart states the instructions and gives you step by step guidelines which indicate when you have completed them.
Using XP you simply open the device and run LibertyStart and that starts the Liberty Monitor which will give you the same step by step instructions with automated feedback once they are completed.
