India talks “fruitful,” new meeting scheduled

RIM’s April 9th meeting with the India Department of Telecom, which we learned about last week, went well according to unnamed sources. Another talk is scheduled for the 15th, where RIM execs are expected to demonstrate how to intercept data from BlackBerrys. Oddly, operators were asked to stay away from the meeting, which is contrary to what we heard originally. Still, it looks like the situation in India is inching ever-closer to being resolved.

    Does it mean blackberry data communication is tappable? Gosh, where the security goes then? We should start questioning whether our data is actually monitored by RIM. Now I know why the French avoids BB being used by gov’t officers…
