If those first looks weren’t enough to whet your palette, you should check out this new trailer with speakers turned up nice and loud. Viigo’s big update for WES is coming closer to light, and promises weather, sports, blogs, flights, hotels, local points of interest, and podcasts, alongside the great RSS service we’ve already come to enjoy on your BlackBerry. If you haven’t tried out Viigo yet, grab it - you won’t be disappointed. As for a release, we’re looking at something about a month after WES, but you can sign up for the mid-May beta right now! We’re really excited for Viigo and all the new services they’ll be introducing to your BlackBerry, and we’ve been promised that what we’ll be seeing soon is just the beginning. You should check out our last podcast for a closer look at Viigo’s angle on Tango.

Just pop your e-mail address in the box next to “Join Beta” and you’ll get an e-mail confirmation of signing up.

Actually, I am. Having problems with it.
Went back to FreeRange. Sure, it’s limited to only 10 feeds, but it does everything that Viigo does. And, more importantly, actually works.
Hopefully, Tango will resolve the issues I’m having. But, yeah, Viigo is a disappointment to me.
Jeff … curious to know what issues you were having with Viigo.
Please eMail me directly at Mark.Ruddock@Viigo.com, and I’ll see what I can do about it ASAP.
Thanks,

Freerangeinc.com just works better, i have 16 feeds going on. the interface isn’t as eye candy as viigo, but i’m just reading plain text anyway. i tried viigo, it doesn’t interpret the rss feeds the same as freerange does, posts/articles showup incomplete, plus freerange has a ton more listings.
I would like to be signed up for the new Tango beta testing.
I have a Blackberry 8830.
Do any of these readers for the BlackBerry platform also have a way to view the same feeds on your XP desktop? If I’m going to offer something like this to my enterprise customers, that’s a requirement…
To get on the beta, head over to viigo.com/tango and enter your email address at the bottom where it says “Join Beta”
I’ve had some problems with viigo too. it just doesn’t seem to work so well with images, scrolling jumps around when an image is present.
Mark,
Do you have any plans for two-way sync with Google Reader? I really prefer Google Reader on my PC, but its mobile implementation is weak. Having said that, the ability to sync (i.e. not have to read something twice) is my #1 consideration.
TIA.
JR
JR,
Plans for Google Reader integration are on our roadmap … not for the first release of Tango however, as that is about broadening the service offering. However, after Tango, we will have a chance to focus on the RSS Service, with a view to making it the best out there. Google Reader integration is high on that priority list.
Mark
Mark,
That’s great news. Thanks. I’m frankly surprised Google hasn’t created a client themselves given how similar it would likely be architecturally to the GMail client for BB.
Having said that, I’m more excited to hear about your plans as I have trialed Viigo and was definitely impressed. Once it sync’s Read Items I’ll jump with both feet.
Thanks for the response.
