Not to be out-done by Yahoo’s oneSearch, Microsoft announced Tellme for your BlackBerry. Not only does it recognize voice commands like “weather”, “movies”, “traffic” and “map”, as well as search for any company name, but the app also takes into account your GPS coordinates to further narrow down search results. It’s odd that the BlackBerry version came out before Windows Mobile, but you’ll hardly hear us complaining. You can check it out at www.tellme.com.

BBCool AppStore

I installed the app. I keep on getting “connection lost” when I launch it.
After going through their site and seeing that they support the Curve, I decided to give it a go. I immediately received the sms message with the invite. Upon clicking on the link, I was told that they dont support the Curve.
What gives?
Doesnt seem to have canadian support yet.
In response to RevResponse:
We corrected an issue similar to what you are reporting.
If you go to http://m.tellme.com on your supported phone, all should work now.
If not, please submit feedback at http://www.tellme.com/about/contact_us

Tellme, A Microsoft Subsidiary
This is only for US phone users. Not available to Canadian users.
Somewhat frustrating that the website promotes “now for Blackberry” but when I tried to install this there was a friendly message “thank you for your interest in Tellme. Sorry but your phone is not supported yet.” Maybe they should revise this “now for Blackberry World Edition and you are in the United States of America”
Thanks Greg. I’ll give it another go later today.
Installed the app on my 8800 by att but when it launches, at the point where it goes to access the gps, the unit reboots
