Book and pay for cabs by BlackBerry

Comments

RideCharge has a really slick system in place for booking, paying and expensing taxi rides – perfect for on-the-go professionals. By ordering a cab either online or through an application on your BlackBerry, you can get your travel plans set without having to leave meetings. RideCharge even offers instant alerts when your cab has arrived, so no need to wait for (or miss) your ride. Once you get to your destination, RideCharge can charge directly to your mobile, so no need for cash! Best of all, receipts are all taken care of online for easy expensing. Unfortunately, RideCharge is only available in a few select American cities… here’s hoping it spreads up north soon. A pretty cool system overall – anyone who takes the taxi regularly should check it out.

Seems interesting. I wonder how much trouble it would be getting the Cabbies to accept payment through this? Anyone have any experience with it?
